Getting a Library Card
White Lake Township residents or property owners can receive a free library card with proof of residency or ownership. Minors must have a parent or guardian signature, and applications are completed in person at the Circulation Desk.
Your card also provides access to other TLN member libraries and the statewide MeLCat system.

Most items circulate for 3 weeks and can be renewed twice unless requested by another patron. DVDs, magazines, and hotspots may have shorter loan periods.

Items may be returned inside or via the 24/7 outdoor book drop. Audiovisual and technology items must be returned directly to staff.
- Books / DVDs/BluRays: $0.10 per day
- New DVDs / Blu-rays: $1.00 per day
- Hotspots: $1.00 per day
- Lost or damaged items (White Lake Items ONLY): Replacement cost + $5.00 fee
There is a fine limit of $5.00 for each White Lake Library Card.

Use computers, printers, scanners, and creative tools in the Idea Lab. Printing and copying services are available for a small fee:
- Black & White: $0.10 per page
- Color: $0.25 per page

Library Card FAQs
Find quick answers to common questions about using your library card.
You can reset your PIN by visiting the Circulation Desk with your library card and photo ID. Staff can assist in securely updating your account. For online PIN resets, visit the Library Catalog and choose “Forgot PIN?”.
Yes! Log in to your account at the TLN Catalog using your card number and PIN to renew eligible materials before they are due.
Please notify the Circulation Desk immediately to protect your account. A replacement card can be issued for a small fee with valid ID and proof of residency.
Non-residents who live in a TLN member library community may use their home library card at the White Lake Township Library. Residents outside the TLN area should contact the library for reciprocal borrowing details.
